In Monday’s Inside Sales Leadership Corner I talked about optimism using a colorful umbrella in the analogy… Today I want you to remember:
Don’t get blown away, only open your umbrella when it will help you.
Part of success is in choosing the right tool to use, at the right time.
I often say that it’s easier to drive a nail in with a hammer -> you can use a pipe wrench to do it (I have), but that is making it harder than it needs to be.
So today take stock of what you have in your Success Toolbox (hopefully you have both a pipe wrench & hammer) to determine which tool will help you overcome the current obstacle you’re facing.
That way on a really windy day, you have a raincoat to wear AND know it’s much better to wear it – pulling up your hood – than open your umbrella and get blown away.
