Are your ducks in a row?

I’ll admit to you and myself that although I’m typically an organized person – lately things have gotten a little fuzzy around the edges. My ducks are milling around, bunched up, hanging out, and not in a row.

… so I went back to my UN-done List post from January 2016 to remind myself that this happens at different times in my life and career. It’s temporary and I do know how to sort my ducks out.

So you don’t have to read the whole post (unless you want to) here are the steps:

1 = write it all down.
2 = cross off the things that JUST don’t matter anymore.
3 = choose the MOST important thing to finish (ONE only ONE).
4 = pick a deadline.
5 = choose an accountability partner.

My favorite part is step 2, getting rid of the things that were on my mental list, but truly don’t matter because time has moved on and the situation morphed making that “to do” unimportant.

I also am someone who feels energized when at least one thing is crossed off and done.

Even if they aren’t on their way yet, my ducks are back in a row.

Which is why I choose ONE thing and do it as my next step.

Now my ducks are on their way!
