Inside sales is the best career ever!
Why? Because we can be in Halloween drag at work and nobody would ever know, unless you send them a picture. Which I do because it’s my favorite holiday!
I’m here to tell you instead of being a caricature on the telephone to be inside sales successful you actually need to be YOURSELF.
What does that mean? It means showing up in a sales costume is not going to help you.
Whether it’s Frankenstein’s monster or a mummy, it doesn’t help us build relationships and connect with people if we show up in a scary spider hat.
I absolutely suggest for the rest of your inside sales career you talk with everyone as yourself instead of a costumed sales robot version of you.
