I wonder if book authors determine they need a preamble like I did – after they begin writing something and realize it will either not be understood OR come off wrong without context.
August will have a series of newsletters on
#BeingYourBest
Yet seemingly without that prelude, there didn’t feel (at least to me) like there was any other thread stringing the topics together.
All of them come from snippets of conversations I’ve been having with inside salespeople and leaders this year, where I wrote down what felt like the underlying theme of what was going on in our conversation.
- Mental effort required & when to do work
- Ignore what doesn’t apply to you
- Forecast for yourself
- Giving in ≠ giving UP
I hope, that by taking pieces from multiple conversations and expanding on the themes we will be exploring, you will be able to find something that drives you – to be a little bit better as you continue to strive toward being your best.
Perhaps this note is not all that different from making sure we share our call purpose (or frame as Kendra Lee would say) all of our sales conversations… but that would add a completely different topic… and now I’m thinking about September.
All my best,
Lynn
