Yesterday was the 100th anniversary Armistice Day, the end of World War I; which is probably why it felt right to use a Winston Churchill quote this morning.
“All wisdom is not new wisdom.” —1938
Wisdom is applying your experience, using what you know, and sprinkling in good judgment.
Experience – is what you’ve learned by doing
Knowledge – is everything you’ve figured out with reason, been taught, etc
Good Judgement – is gained from our mistakes
So it makes complete sense to me that wisdom isn’t necessarily a revelation or new – rather it is the culmination of what we learn and apply.
