If you find out your sales team is using misleading statements – tactics – or is outright lying.
STOP THEM
No matter where you are in the sales process, the goal is trust building.
I don’t care if it is at the very beginning, to close a deal, post sale, or anywhere in between.
Here are a few examples from my recent past:
Subject: Left Voicemail
ummm no you didn’t and now I’ll never speak with you
Find out why NAME, NAME, NAME, NAME all recommend
Well I happen to know three of those four people, so I called one and nope she didn’t recommend you.
I don’t get it.
How can salespeople expect to be trusted if there are lies through out the process?
No wonder people don’t believe us.
Please, stop the lying when you see it on your team.
