It’s time to drive away the evil spirits!

Today is s an ancient festival to welcome the spring weather and to drive away evil spirits.

Today on your team practice a little magic and get rid of the evil sales spirits inhabiting your team.

> doubt – exorcise it!

Doubt is the first evil spirit you need to exorcise because it will kill a deal and sometimes a career. This evil spirit is an insidious killer of enthusiasm.

Take the time to understand the root cause and begin to weed it out. Make sure you catch people doing the right thing. Giving people kudos when they do well – they may never tell you but it will push their self-doubt away.

> distraction – eliminate it!

Don’t be fooled by distraction, thinking it is an external force on your team. It’s not! It is an inside thing telling salespeople it’s ok to NOT do something, to NOT focus on what is important… it is the NOT spirit.

Only successfully replaced by focus, which takes practice. Enough practice to make focus into a habit.

> disappointment – expel it!

Disappointment is an emotion. You can’t just ignore it and expect it to disappear. Instead, acknowledge its existence, its validity, its power.

Make sure to examine the situation for lessons learned. Then help the salesperson expel it by looking and moving forward.

… notice that the evil spirits take action to dispell. Make sure your actions are getting rid of them not making them stronger. Now, you can get to work and achieve sales success!
