I don’t care what sport you participate in or follow.
When the season starts, practice doesn’t stop.
The same needs to be said about leadership and management.
Once you get the job, practice doesn’t stop.
> Always be identifying the things you’re great at -> then make sure you keep your skills sharp.
> Look for things you’re good at and would like to improve -> figure out what drills, exercises, or role-play will make you better.
> Figure out what is new in your field -> read, watch videos, check out what the BEST are doing and figure out how to do it yourself.
> Before a big meeting or difficult conversation -> practice what you’ll say and how you want to say it.
It’s not the first time you’ve read this idea. This week do SOMETHING to be better at what you do.
Hey, Doctors even call an entire career their “Practice” why don’t you?
