SP #1 – what are you still doing here?
SP #2 – I set a target of 10 good business conversations for today and I’m only at 8.
SP #1 – but it’s 5:30…
SP #2 – so?
SP #1 – you’ve been here since 8:00 right?
SP #2 – yeah, what’s your point?
There are times when two people can be speaking with each other – yet not actually be having a conversation (reminder; my definition of a conversation is an exchange of ideas between two people).
SP #1 – has NO idea how the inside salesperson they’re speaking with thinks about the job.
SP #2 – doesn’t understand how SP #1 isn’t getting the drive to hit a personal goal.
Neither are necessarily wrong in their perception.
The key is to know how you perceive your inside sales world – then drive your success using what you’ve learned.
