do you recycle or take out the mental trash?

I’m all for recycling.

EXCEPT

when it comes to

MENTAL TRASH

What am I talking about this time? Well after working with one of my coaching clients I realized we were back on THE SAME mental trash topic we tackled earlier this year.

We worked on it for about 6-weeks;

step 1 – figuring out what was holding her/him back
step 2 – uncovering what happened
step 3 – replacing the old attitudes with new ones
step 4 – looking for what would happen RIGHT before the internal trash talk started
step 5 – figuring out what to do instead
step 6 – be mindful & practice
* success *

or so we both thought…

I’m not sure what happened (we are still working it out) but instead of permanently taking that mental trash out to the curb, it has been recycled.

Does that happen to you?

I’m genuinely curious.
