In all my 30 years in sales, I’ve never taken off at year’s end.
You know the drill: push, sprint, chase, forecast, follow up, close, report, reforecast…
when everyone else is winding down, in sales we ramp up.
Not this year.
This year, I’m doing something different.
🎉 Friday, December 19th is my personal work year-end.
After that, I’m:
- off-grid
- off-email
- off-work
- and fully ON rest, joy, and play.
Why I’m telling you this:
Whether you’re an inside sales rep or leader, you’ve been in go mode for a while now.
And maybe you’re telling yourself,
“I’ll rest when the month… quarter… year… ends.”
“I’ll take time off once I finish just one more thing.”
🧠 Rest isn’t a reward.
It’s not something you “earn.”
It’s fuel.
If you’re always waiting for permission to unplug…
Consider this official permission from your sales coach.
📅 Your Challenge:
Look at your calendar.
Pick your own year-end.
Set a boundary that works for you.
And when you’re off, REALLY be off.
When you pause with intention, everything reflects more clearly.
Including what matters.
You can bet I’ll be back in January, fired up and ready to launch
👉 Mastering Inside Sales Leadership on January 8th.
But for now?
I’m out. Joyfully.
See you on the other side of the off switch,
Lynn
