Back in 2019 I posted a Halloween video for inside sales success – be yourself NOT a caricature of what you believe a salesperson “should” be.
Funny thing – I have realized that showing up in a leadership costume is not going to help you with leadership success either.
Whether it’s Frankenstein’s monster or a mummy, putting on a “leadership should” costume doesn’t help build relationships and connect with the team as a group or individual salespeople.
I absolutely suggest for the rest of your inside sales management and leadership career you talk with everyone as yourself instead of a costumed version of you.
