What would you have to change for today to feel like Mon-YEAH?
I see and hear it all the time… “workin’ for the weekend” – “wow I wish I’d had an extra day” – “Monday AGAIN”
Even worse: when a dear friend of mine said she started worrying about work the middle of the day on Sunday!
Hence today’s question. You probably know I believe that the only two things we control are:
1. how we spend our time
2. and our attitude
Option 1 = change how you’re spending your time on Monday.
This may mean you rearrange your schedule to allow you to begin the day with something you truly love about your job. It also may mean you need to change roles inside your organization – if you can’t think of anything you love about the one you’re doing now. Of course it may also mean you need a different job with a different company (that’s what my friend figured out for herself).
Option 2 = adjust your own attitude.
This may mean a walk in the morning before work, reading something inspirational, listening to your favorite music. It also may be looking at the things on your schedule that drain your energy and setting up something immediately following that fills your enthusiasm back up! The key is believing it’s your attitude and your choice.
Today is the perfect day to decide what you have to change, to make every Monday into a Mon-YEAH!
