don’t discount the Power Hour

Recently a salesperson said “I’m finally busy enough that I understand why you’re always going on about scheduling Power Hours.”

I’d never thought about the fact that until you’re busy with OTHER stuff; my talk about power hours might not seem relevant to you or an important habit to get into… before you’re busy.

Here is what I want you to realize – it’s too easy to blow off focused customer contact time when your busy;

  • doing things that seem more immediate
  • taking care of requests from customers
  • working on opportunity FUN – proposals, quotes, etc

Instead create a habit of scheduling Power Hours – depending on your overall responsibilities; a few times a week, daily, or a couple times a day. Become consistent in your application of using BURSTfocus® in your customer and prospecting outreach.

Then when you ARE busy enough to understand you need them, Power Hours will already be in your calendar and the way you do your job.
