This week ends the year – if it’s your fiscal year end as well there is a LOT going on in a short week.
Make sure you take the time to make something into a game to increase activity and reduce stress all the way around.
- clearly define the short term goal (result) you’re looking for
- measure activity to keep score
- make your week’s coaching focused on their scoreboard activity and results
- talk about how the game will help them achieve their personal goals
- reward both activity and results daily to keep focus on the behaviors you want to encourage.
The Activity = a promotion. Make it so anyone can win, smaller prizes, have them compete with themselves.
While Goal/Result =a contest. There is only one winner, bigger prize, they are competing with each other.
random side note: The “cation” in Gamification always makes me thing of the Red Hot Chili Peppers – Californication (if you have 7min 21sec to waste).
