Bird Brain #2: The Vision Vacuum

“If you don’t know where you’re migrating to… how will you survive?”
“Chickadees don’t migrate… maybe that’s why I’ve never set my own vision.”

Ever feel like you’re working hard but not going anywhere?

Yeah… chickadee knows the feeling.

We’ve all seen it in inside sales:

  • Hitting the number but not hitting your stride.
  • Making dials but not making progress.
  • Following the process but having no idea why you’re doing it.

Here’s the bird-brained part:
Most reps don’t set a vision—they just react to someone else’s.

Manager says “make 50 calls.”
CRM says “update the notes.”
Marketing says “follow up on this campaign.”
And boom—you’re flying in circles, not forward.

Survival isn’t about staying busy. It’s about knowing where you’re going.

And you get to set that course.

Your vision doesn’t have to be lofty or poetic. It just has to be yours:

  • What do you want from this role?
  • What skills are you building?
  • What kind of rep do you want to become?

Because without direction, you’ll stay on the branch.
And the view gets boring fast.

Here’s your LYNNSIGHT:

🧭 No migration plan = no growth path.
🗺️ Vision doesn’t have to be big, it has to be yours.
🕵️‍♀️ Stop waiting for someone else to chart your course. Start asking: Where am I headed, and why?
