give it one more try!

“Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.” ~ Thomas Edison

I’m a huge admirer of Thomas Edison, especially when it comes to his wisdom on work and achievements. But have you ever wondered what he would be like on a rough day – those days when you wish you could just hide under the covers and wait for a better tomorrow?

In my imagination, Thomas Edison was the kind of person who powered through those tough days by taking action, focusing on activities that could overpower the negative thoughts.

When adversity strikes, it’s crucial to find a way out of our own heads – because I genuinely believe that the downward spiral of thoughts is something we can control. And the easiest way to do that is to STOP OVERTHINKING and START DOING.

So, what are some activities that can help us move forward in the world of inside sales?

  1. Spend 15 minutes on research: explore what’s new in your industry, your region, or your specific business. How can this newfound knowledge benefit your prospects and customers?
  2. Follow up: Reach out to those who’ve made a purchase in the last 12 months and share the latest information that could enhance their experience.
  3. Prospect: Connect with potential clients you haven’t met yet. Ask them questions to see if the new information aligns with their needs and goals.

Before you know it, the day is coming to a close, and you’ve conquered the challenges – or, at the very least, the day is behind you.

That’s what makes inside sales so exhilarating – each morning brings a fresh start. It’s a brand-new day, and you have the power to shape your own world.

Remember, don’t ever give up – heed Thomas Edison’s advice and give it one more try!
