Colin McRae was a Scottish rally driver who famously said “Straight roads are for fast cars, turns are for fast drivers.”
As I read news and commentary about supply chain difficulties, the state of the economy, etc… I thought of this quote.
When things are going smoothly anyone can be successful, the straight road is easy to navigate.
As you get into the corners, you need to know what you’re doing – ESPEICALLY when you’re leading a team. Economic turns are completely outside your control – it take skill to keep your team’s sales on the road and out of a ditch.
ps: I think corners are MUCH more fun to drive!
