When you think of rich and sales together – I’m sure you imagined this would be about money.
I have to share that to me Being rich = a life full of whatever makes you happy! Now don’t get me wrong, I do understand THAT will require money.
Merriam-Webster actually has 8 definitions for rich (16 if you add in all the sub definitions).
1: having abundant possessions and especially material wealth
2: having high value or quality / well supplied or endowed
3: magnificently impressive
4: vivid and deep in color / full and mellow in tone and quality / having a strong fragrance
5: highly productive or remunerative
6: having abundant plant nutrients / highly seasoned, fatty, oily, or sweet / high in the combustible component / high in some component
7: entertaining / meaningful / significant / lush
8: pure or nearly pure
Step 1 to being rich is to pick what your personal definition is… although if you choose #6 please call me as I want to know how you picked part of that.
I believe that you need to choose what success means to you – so why not decide the same thing about being rich. I did and it helped settle my mind.
The choice also helped me define the type of salesperson I wanted to be. Had me work hard toward goals that were important to me.
Crazy thing is it also has made me successful, as defined by the organizations I’ve worked with and within.
