“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” ~ Aristotle
excellence = very good of its kind : eminently good : first-class : superior
habit = a settled tendency or usual manner of behavior
thanks to Merriam-Webster for the definitions
I love a good habit, where I’m doing my best work by default – without having to think to much about it. I also like the “eminently good” definition of excellence – it’s not saying anything about perfection (the search of which may be one of my personal downfalls).
Which, for me, means an excellence habit is to be eminently good at what I do as my usual manner of behavior.
Are you in the excellence habit?
