Yup, that is me, eating maple sugar cotton candy for breakfast.
A strange thing to be enthusiastic about, perhaps. Yet once a year it is the piece of a Paul Smiths College weekend at the sugar shack that I can’t wait for.
No matter what you’re enthusiastic about, you may agree with Ralph Waldo Emerson that “Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.
Every day in sales, to gain a prospect’s attention we must keep up our enthusiasm level.
It’s not always easy.
Sometimes boredom of voicemail jail, frustration at trying to reach that elusive executive, and the stress of trying to reach our monthly numbers get in the way.
Here are a few articles you can keep on file to remind you of the enthusiasm importance:
- The Importance Of Enthusiasm In Any Product is a look at how enthusiasm impacts product success
- How to Make the Sell with Enthusiasm talks about enthusiasm connecting people
- Read Enthusiasm in Sales: It Sells if you’re interested in how enthusiasm and conviction can change your sales game
- The Art of Enthusiasm is a great reminder about acting “as if” becoming your reality.
Of course, YouTube is a great source for videos on enthusiasm. Here are three I enjoyed:
- TEDxIB @ York – Mike Jutan – The power of enthusiasm
- How To Live Life With More Enthusiasm
- Learning with Passion and Enthusiasm
Enthusiastically yours,
