EI for Sales Leadership (part 3) by Colleen Stanley @EiSelling

If you’ve been following along:
in Part 1: you decided you really want to be a sales manager.
in Part 2: you learned to hire for emotional intelligence.

In part 3: What they don’t teach you at Sales Management School Colleen talks about all of the emotional intelligence skills you’ll need to work on with your salespeople.

In the chapter on time management, Colleen has a great exercise using mind mapping (figure 17.1) and while she says to use a big sheet of paper… I’ve always been partial to a power point template I can type in.

Which is what I used to share my take aways from the section.

As I was reading – I kept thinking, why isn’t there more on modeling this behavior? Why isn’t she reminding sales leaders and managers that all these skills are necessary not only in their salespeople but in themselves… unknowingly I was jumping to Part 4 in my head… more on that next week

If you haven’t ordered your copy of EI for Sales Leadership NOW is the time.
