Too often sales leaders, managers, and people take the blame for all the bad stuff that happens – the bad hire, lost deal, annoyed account, screwed up order… WITHOUT taking the blame for all the GREAT stuff too.
Practice saying
> it’s my fault John is hitting his goal.
> it’s my fault we won that deal.
> it’s my fault XYZ company is THRILLED with our service.
> it’s my fault everything got there on time.
If you take the blame for bad stuff that happens, you’re also to blame for all the GREAT stuff!
