Yesterday I had an unexpected complement from a prospect (right before he became a customer I might add)
“you’re really good at this.”
It’s amazing how that one little phrase made my day brighter AND made me want to be even better at what I do.
If I listed off the points that came up on why he felt that way – it is all stuff I’d tell you I do as the regular course of my day.
To him – it was special… different… EXTRA.
Why? because it wasn’t the experience he is used to with other salespeople he deals with.
and THAT is why I won.
My every day put a little extra into his ordinary and made our interaction EXTRAORDINARY in his view.
