Seasons Montetra

Walking along a trail today
I spied a red leaf on my way
Sweater season and skies of gray
Warm mugs of clay, warm mugs of clay

The leaves are gone, gray skies still loom
Flannel sheets used in the guest room
Ski cloths replace the wild costume
Pleeease snow soon, pleeease snow soon

Muddy paw prints across the floor
Screens replace glass in the front door
Earthy smells overwhelm once more
New growth adore, new growth adore

Hazy, hot, and humid return
To slow down, we again we relearn
Done being sweaty we adjourn
Boat overturn, boat overturn
