Do The Hard Thing = #InsideSales #Success

Don’t wait until the end of the day, to do the hard stuff… that makes it too easy to put it off! (she says to herself after putting something off three days in a row)

How often do you find yourself putting something that F E E L S difficult off?

Important things… scary things… time consuming things… annoying things.

Here are the key questions to ask yourself (at least for me.. so I guess to ask myself):

  1. how much mental energy is _____ going to take?
  2. worst case scenario, how much time will it take to get to a logical stopping point?
  3. do I need anyone else to get ____ done?

Answering these three questions allows you (aka me) to schedule time to get that THING done.

Of course sometimes, even that gets put off – which means you have to ask yourself:

4. what is stopping me?

If you’ve made time in your busy schedule and STILL not done the hard thing… is it that you can’t do it… won’t do it… or don’t know how to do it?

Once you answer that question for yourself you can figure out what to do NEXT to get that pesky hard thing DONE. You’ll feel much better once it’s off your plate, I promise!
